Bioshock 2 recently came out, and while I am playing my way through the game as we speak so I can put up our official review, it has made me think about the next installment. Bioshock 3 was officially announced before the second game came out, and some are reporting that the third one will drop when the Bioshock movie comes out. Hit the jump to see what I want in Bioshock 3.

After updating the audio files and the ending for the first Portal game, Valve answered everyone's question about the Portal series. Yes, there will be a sequel to Portal, and it is scheduled to come out this fall. We don't know much about it, other than the usual PR stuff, like you'll be able to visit new areas of Aperture Science, and there will be new characters. But one rumor floating around is that the new game will feature co-op. We imagine the co-op experience to have one guy operating the orange portal only, while your partner operates the blue portal only. That would make for some crazy puzzles. We'll keep you updated as we find out more information

It won't be long until Sony are rolling out their next update (which hopefully won't crash the system this time) for the Playstation 3. Along with this update, it will allow PS3 owners to take advantage of the new "Full HD 3D TVs" and 3D programming, which is soon to quick off.
Nainan Shah, vice-president of new platform, planning and development at Sony said, "PS3 users worldwide will only need to upgrade the PS3 system software via the internet and there is no need to repurchase the system to enjoy 3D games."
Sky TV will be launching its 3D schedule next month, while other services will be bringing out similar things in the near future.
To make the update as smooth as possible, the update will come completely free through Sony's network and since the PS3 has the Cell processor and the necessary HDMI ports, there's no need for any modifications to the console.
"Sony's plans to upgrade existing PS3 consoles to 3D will provide a major boost to the 3D market during 2010," commented David Mercer of Strategy Analytics, "This could quickly create a worldwide installed base of more than 30 million 3D-capable games consoles and confirm the PS3 as a platform positioned for the next generation of console games."
The big driver for 3D will be this year's Fifa World Cup in South Africa, which kicks off on 12 June. Most TV manufacturers will have 3D TVs onsale well before this. Several are also looking to offer ways to allow existing customers to enjoy 3D TV programming and are whetting their appetites by offering 2D-to-3D upgrade packs.

With the Halo: Reach multiplayer beta starting May 3rd, Bungie is making us hurt by releasing this video. The video shows off the new and improved Halo multiplayer. As you can see in the video, there are new animations for assassinations, new weapons, jetpacks, new vehicles, new game modes. It looks extremely awesome. Make sure to dust off your copies of ODST when May 3rd rolls around to get in on some of this action. If you want to get into the beta, but don't have ODST, don't worry. Just go buy a copy, or borrow one from a friend. It is as simple as that. We'll be sure to post our thoughts about Halo: Reach when we play in the beta. There isn't any word yet if the beta is only open to North America, or if Europe and the rest of the world will be able to participate.

The past few days Sony has been teasing gamers with a "surprise announcement." That announcement came yesterday, and it is the next game in the highly popular SOCOM series. But this isn't going to be like SOCOM: Confrontation, which was an online only game. SOCOM 4 is going to feature a full single player experience, along with a 32 player online experience. Oh, and it is being developed by Zipper Interactive, the original developers of SOCOM, who recently released MAG. Hit the jump for more details.

"It's all good guys, they don't need us again until May."
All you Western fans, listen up. Red Dead Redemption has been delayed again for what feels like the 50th time. The new release date is now May 18th, just a little over a month later than the previous release date. This game is starting to turn into the next Duke Nukem: Forever. I hope I can play this game in 2010. Hit the jump for the reason for this delay.

Pre-order Bad Company 2 to get the game early!
If you have been to gametrailers.com in the past few months, you may have seen the advertisement for pre-ordering Battlefield: Bad Company 2 at GameStop. I think I can even say the entire ad from memory, "Pre-order Battlefield: Bad Company 2 at GameStop and unlock Rush Mode 30 days before everyone else..Power to the players." Do I even have to explain why this is so ridiculous..oh I do. Okay, well follow me inside and I will tell you.

Activision security arriving at IW
While the headline sounds like it could be something cool, let me assure you, it is not. Yesterday afternoon, a bunch of security guards arrived at the Infinity Ward offices unannounced. When asked why they were there, they would not respond to questions. Anonymous employees were saying "Everyone is freaked out. We just wanna make games." Until now, it has not been revealed what happened yesterday, but after some investigation from the Internet, we THINK we know a little bit about what is going on.

Coming this Wednesday to Xbox Live Arcade is Signal Studios' game Toy Soldiers. The game will be priced at 1200 Microsoft points and looks to be like a mini version of the established Battlefield: Bad Company.
However, the game is to take elements of gameplay from traditional RTS' as well as Tower Defence. You will take control of individual troops or vehicles whilst you guide them to victory.
The trailer above looks great and gives a great impression of great things to come. Hopefully we'll have a full review of the game soon after its launch!

It's been a long wait, but 2010 seems to be the year that Nintendo will go all out for the latest in their long line of Zelda titles. We've already had a few snippets of information, but hopefully with Nintendo of America's Reggie Fils-Amie answering questions on the next episode of Gametrailer's TV, we'll hopefully have a better idea of what to expect.
This information comes from Geoff Keighley's Twitter page:
Great Reggie interview today....coming soon to GTTV. Find out if he has played the new Zelda for Wii or not.
However, with Reggie's past track record, we shouldn't expect much more than a typical PR response and some sneaky side-stepping of questions.

Even though we've heard rumors about trouble with the development of Red Dead Redemption, we can't help feeling that this game looks freakin' awesome. Rockstar has released a new trailer in their gameplay series titled "Weapons and Death." I don't know what people are talking about, the game looks great. Maybe we are only seeing the most polished areas of the game. Who knows. All I know is that I'm really excited for this western epic. Let's just hope it doesn't get delayed again.

EA sure surprised everyone yesterday. Without any official notice, the demo for Battlefield Bad Company 2 was available to download. In this multiplayer only demo, there is only one map available, which is Port Valdez in Alaska. Forecast calls for a lot of snow. There is also only one gametype available, which is the popular mode from the first Bad Company, "Rush Mode." You can see a trailer for "Rush Mode" in the video above. But download the demo quick. It only lasts until Feb. 25th. After we get some hands on with the game, we'll post our impressions here.
