So far, 2010 has been an amazing year for video games. Top quality releases have been released on a scale never before seen outside a Christmas period, with every system playing host to some incredible titles. This is my personal top 10 so far, listed alphabetically to avoid making the choice any more difficult.

Rumor on the internet is that we will see another Hitman game next holiday. Sources say that is the earliest the game will be released. I'm kind of bummed out, since I love Hitman, and can't wait to play some more of it. For those who caught the concept art that was posted online the other day, you should know that those were not tied to any Hitman game. They were part of an artist's portfolio. So don't get all worked up thinking IO would combine Hitman and God of War. The above image is one of the said concept pieces.

It has been announced today by 2K Games that the demo for the upcoming game, Mafia II, will be available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on August 10th. Shortly after that, the game will be fully released in stores around the UK on August 27th. Are you likely to buy the game or download the demo?Source

Inception has taken America by storm. Everyone is talking about the sheer brilliance of the film. While there are some negative views on the movie, most people agree it is a very good flick, featuring a well structured story, awesome special effects, and some mind bending elements. As I watched the movie (twice), I couldn't help but think that Inception could make a really good video game. Hit the jump for my take on how Inception could be made into a video game.

The Medal of Honor beta has been going on for a few weeks, and Calum and myself have been playing it for sometime. I have it for the PC, and Calum has it on the PS3. We decided to sit down and discuss our thoughts on the game. Brandon:Medal of Honor has gone modern, and EA has released a multiplayer beta for a few weeks to let gamers get their hands on the game. Personally, I'm torn on the game. While it is fun, I feel like the game suffers from identity crisis. At some points it feels like Modern Warfare 2, and at some points feels like Battlefield: Bad Company 2. What are your thoughts Calum? Hit the jump to see the rest of our discussion

Whilst we've known about H.A.W.X. 2 for quite some time now, we finally get to see the game in action. I must say, from the reveal trailer above, the game looks to be graphically impressive and very action packed.
Check it out above and when we get more information, we'll keep you posted.

Activision released a trailer for their upcoming Guitar Hero game, showcasing gameplay from a bunch of songs that will be in the game. The game will ship with like 90 or so songs on the disc, which is insane. Some highlights include Queen, Nine Inch Nails, Muse, My Chemical Romance, The Rolling Stones, Dire Straits, etc. There are a lot of big names in the game. Other than that, yeah, here is the trailer.

EA has announced a bunch of details for FIFA '11, and we would like to share that information with you, right now! First, the game will be released on September 28th in North America and October 1st in Europe. That is a little later than normal in Europe, but still not that far away. Secondly, and something that is huge for the FIFA franchise, is the Creation Centre. Using www.eafootballworld.com, gamers can now create players and teams on the web, so you can go into great detail to create all of your content. The create-a-team part has my interest. Instead of the Ultimate Team mode in the previous FIFA games, you can create a team from scratch. Players can create their own crest, kits, stadiums, etc. This is a feature I've been wanting for a while now, and I'm excited that it will be in FIFA '11. For an extra treat, hit the jump to see producer Gary Paterson discuss how player attributes will work in FIFA '11. Are you guys excited for the game?

Ever thought that the PS3 in black was just to boring? Well, you are in luck. Sony has announced that the PS3 Slim will now be available in white, and in bigger capacities! The other exciting news is that you will only be able to get all colors of PS3 Slims in either 160GB models or 320GB models. Current PS3 Slims with a 120GB hard drive in them will be sold at "open pricing," which means retailers can set them at any price to clear out shelf space. This means that the new PS3 Slims should be on store shelves soon...in Japan. No word yet on a European or North America release, yet.

Something that doesn't get old in the video game is classic trash talking done by developers when comparing other consoles. This time, Chris Zimmerman steps into the ring and is shouting claims that there's "no way" that Infamous 2 can't be done on the 360. As if we haven't heard such talk before...
He's what he said:
“There’s just more processing power on the PS3. If you look at games like Uncharted 2 that’s a game that you actually can’t do on Xbox no matter how clever you are.”
“InFamous 2 is going to be the same way,” he told Play mag. “You’ll look at it and see that there’s no way we could have done this game on 360.”

Naughty Bear is a new IP from Artificial Mind and Movement and 505 Games. Could this title make it fun playing as cuddly bears, or does the stuffing just fall all over the place? Find out in our in-depth review.

If you don't know what this game is about, don't worry, as it was not until this morning I heard about it. However, I must say, that the trailer above... is awesome! Although an extremely simple concept (you have to beat up your true loves' ex-boyfriends to win her heart), the retro graphics look insanely great. Anyway, check out the trailer above and let me know what you think.
Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World is coming to PSN soon.

Hulu announced a new service today, called Hulu Plus. For $9.99 a month, users can access a lot of things that the free part of Hulu can not. One example is called a Season Pass, where you get access to every episode that has been on TV for a certain show in the current season, not just a few episodes each week. You also get access to all seasons of select shows, like The Office, Arrested Development, etc. And the service is in HD. The best part? If you subscribe to Hulu Plus, you'll be able to watch TV shows on your PS3 in July, and the service will be coming to the 360 next year sometime. If you love television, this service is right up your alley.

It was way back in 2007 when Realtime Worlds gave us a taste of what it was like to be a good guy in a sand-box game, while even though we could still "commandeer" vehicles and "accidentally" shoot civilians, the idea of being on the other side of the law was a unique one. Here we are three years later, and although Realtime has stepped on to do other things (APB), it seems like new comer Ruffian Games are going to give us another shot at being an Agent. That's right ladies and gentleman, Crackdown 2 is almost upon us, and The Agency has "spared no expense" when it comes to preparing what is sure to be another fun filled stay in Pacific City.
